Tempur-Pedic has just launched their newest adjustable bed base, the TEMPUR-Ergo Premier, and wow. Just wow. When I read about it I wasn’t really that excited as every adjustable bed base we carry at Gardner’s Mattress & More can achieve the same positions; just the amount of bells, whistles, and options vary. However the new TEMPUR-Ergo Premier not only has more features but it does everything BETTER.
First I’ll cover the basics and the bells/whistles. Tempur-Pedic’s newest base can still achieve all of the same positions as its predecessor but it is noticeably more attractive. Gone is the dull beige/yellow fabric with the Tempur logo printed everywhere and it is replaced with a neutral, Earth-tone fabric. The massage feature now offers more options with separate HEAD, LUMBAR, and FEET massage zones and differing types of wave motion. The wireless remote has been redone, is more ergonomic and is more responsive. You can also download an app for your iPhone or Android smartphone to control the base from your phone.
Now, onto the BETTER part. First thing you’ll notice is how quietly and effortlessly it moves. I never thought the old Tempur-Pedic Advanced Ergo bases were loud but after not-hearing the new base, I realize they were.
As far as the massage feature goes, on these new TEMPUR-Ergo Premier bases you can really feel the massage. Tempur-Pedic beds by design reduce movement, thus I always found the massage feature less than exciting but the new bases have a much more powerful massage unit that really works on your tired muscles and relaxes you.
